We have been voted amongst the best Cookery School's in the UK many times and have established a reputation for delivering the highest quality recreational cookery and wine training.
We Stand Behind Our Products
We stand by every product and service we offer at the Ashburton Cookery School. All of our products in our Cookey Store are used regularly by our Chef Tutors. If they don't believe a product should feature in our kitchens, we won't consider offering it to you. If you are unsatisfied with any product we offer a 21 day returns policy.
Your Email Address
Any time you provide us with your email address or other personal information - either through email inquiries, surveys, or through online orders, you can rest assured that we will NOT share your address with ANY third party. All information is kept private and secure.
In addition we will NOT send you any "junk" email or messages that do not relate to the purpose of your original communication with us.
It's that simple: your address goes to us - only us - and only for the purpose that you intend.
Secure Online Ordering
We use SSL (Secure Socket Layer) which is the industry standard for processing a secure transaction over the internet.
In order to operate an SSL secure server, a business has to obtain a certificate from a "trusted third party" known as a CA (certifying authority). To get this certificate, a business must prove they are legitimate in several ways. Our certificate is issued by Comodo which provides the highest level of encryption (256 bit) available.
When you place an order through our website, all of the data that you provide will be encrypted by our secure server. Encryption means that the information that you send is scrambled in such a way that only OUR server can read it. Even if the data could be intercepted it would be useless to anyone. We have strict company policies for the handling of and access to customer data and ensure that only authorised users are able to view your details on site via passworded access. All password access is changed regularly.
Whether in person, by phone, by fax, or through online orders, we guarantee the security of your transaction.
How Can You Tell It's Secure?
It's easy to tell when a document on your browser is coming from a secure server.
One way is to note the status of the security icon provided by your browser. Most browsers have some type of icon (usually a padlock symbol) in the margin that will show if you are viewing a page coming from a secure server. A closed padlock, for example, would indicate a secure server and an open one would indicate otherwise. You will notice this icon change to reflect the secured environment when you enter our secure pages.
You will also see the logo of our Security Certificate provider (Comodo) at the bottom left of each webpage which you can click to validate our identity.
Whenever we ask you to enter sensitive or personal information, we will ensure that the webpage is encrypted.
Who Processes Your Payments?
We use HSBC to process our credit card payments. HSBC is amongst the largest and most trusted global payment processors. Utilising the latest encryption and security technologies, we are confident that your payments could not go through a better channel.
Do you keep my credit/debit card details on file?
No. We do not keep any records of your credit/debit card details within our organisation in any form, either written, electronically or in a database. Once you enter your details online, the transaction is processed via our payment processer and no details are recorded by ourselves.
When you place an order with us over the telephone, your credit card details are processed in the same way by our telephone operators and there is NO record of your financial details retained by our organisation.
What if I Still Don't Want to Order Online?
Although we are confident that our secure server provides safe and secure online ordering, we understand that some customers may prefer to order through other means. This is not a problem.
